DAF Day is what happens when donors, nonprofits, and DAF providers all move together.

Why We Started DAF Day

Donor-advised funds hold over $326 billion in charitable assets that are committed to giving. In partnership with dozens of DAF providers and nonprofits, Chariot organized DAF Day to celebrate DAF generosity and mobilize the sector around it.

DAF Day gives donors a dedicated moment to amplify their impact by giving with others and sharing socially with their communities.
It gives nonprofits a national campaign to learn about DAFs, build their DAF fundraising strategy, and reach their most loyal supporters.
And it gives DAF providers a shared catalyst to engage their communities, increasing DAF usage and expanding their audience.
Before 2024, there was no dedicated giving day for DAF donors. Now we’re in our third year.

About Chariot

DAF Day was created by Chariot, the company behind DAFpay, the industry’s first integrated DAF payment option and a TIME’s Best Invention of 2025.
DAFpay is embedded on over 100,000 nonprofits’ donation forms—including American Cancer Society, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University of Pennsylvania—and is a primary payment option on leading fundraising platforms like GiveButter, GiveCampus, Funraise, NeonOne, GoFundMe and many others.
Chariot’s gift processing platform for nonprofits manages end-to-end DAF and workplace giving payments, helping development, data, and finance teams spend less time on manual reconciliation and more time on their missions.
Chariot also powers disbursements for a growing network of DAF providers — including Daffy, Groundswell, TIFIN Give, and an expanding list of community foundations — helping them send grants to nonprofits faster, more easily, and more securely.
Nonprofits can claim their deposit account on Chariot to receive free, data-rich electronic payments from DAF and workplace giving partners already on the platform. Get started here.
